This awe-inspiring life-size masterpiece is being sculpted by Francisco from a 21-ton block of white marble that was quarried from the Colorado Yule Mine in Marble, Colorado. When completed, this magnificent sculpture depicting a woman on top of a concert grand piano will weigh approximately 5 tons while being supported by three (3) piano legs.

The inspiration for American Woman is his "Michelle" series of pencil drawings. But American Woman represents more than Michelle. To the artist, the sculpture represents the many faces and facets of today's American woman.
